"believe in your strengths" – 2/52

my valentine’s day gift this year was more significant than one might think.

david bought me the ‘legend of zelda: major’s mask 3ds’ game for my nintendo 3ds. i had been patiently waiting for this game to come out for approximately a year.

this game means a lot to me, i remember receiving it as a christmas gift in the year 2000 for the n64 and i remember playing it constantly, not just throughout my childhood, but at least once a year into adulthood as well. i wish i could adequately explain what i love about this game so much, but i simply can’t. now we come to this week’s photo:

even though i have played this game more that a hundred times, i have never had more fun than watching the person i love the most play it for the very first time.

fresh and sweet – 1/52

starting today, i will be sharing a photo once a week, for 52 weeks.
i tried doing ‘project 365’ once in 2009, it didn’t last very long, so i’m hoping that a photo a week will be more manageable for me. i wish i had thought to do this when i first moved to saskatchewan, but 7 months in should do. have i really been here this long already?! this little project should also help prompt me to blog – i hope.

this is a photo of my caramel macchiato from one of my favourite places in regina – fresh & sweet.  i woke up this morning with one goal in mind: brunch. david and i managed to roll out of bed at a decent time and got to ‘fresh & sweet’ nice and early (yay free tables and no wait!). we had been here once before in the summer, i ordered the same thing today as i did then, to no one’s surprise. i can’t wait for my family to come visit sometime so I can take them here!
