20/52

Made it back to Ontario just in time to see the orchids. For three weeks in June, these rare orchids bloom about 10 minutes from my parents’ house, at Purdon Conservation Area. I was happy to be able to take David here while they were in bloom, since we had once visited the site in the winter when there was nothing to see.

Tomorrow will mark a week since we’ve arrived back in Ontario and we’ve been steadily busy – celebrating my birthday, getting engagement photos done, planning our wedding and visiting family. I am so grateful to be able to be out here this summer.

I have a good excuse for not updating lately – David and I bought a house! I am writing this from the comfort of my very own home, sitting next to my favourite boy, amongst half-empty boxes and a mixture of my stuff and his. We have been here since Monday and I am already feeling relief from living outside the city. We now have a 35-40 minute commute to Regina but I like that we are able to drive to work together 3 days a week.

Moving is tough. I am eternally grateful that my mom and dad drove all the way here from Ontario to help us move.
I’m hoping this post looks normal, as I am using the blogger app for the first time since our internet isn’t hooked up yet. Look forward to house-related posts in the future!
