late for this week’s project 52, but for a good reason: i’m engaged! david proposed to me on march 13th, 2015. we took a roadtrip that we had been planning on taking for a while, with the sole purpose of visiting all the towns he lived in before he moved to his parents’ farm. he proposed in the town that he was born, wakaw, saskatchewan. Iive had a perma-grin on my face ever since! i woke up that morning to an extra-happy david, which i thought nothing of, since he is usually fairly happy, in my eyes. we had spent thursday night in saskatoon and our first destination was wakaw, the town that he was born in. our drive there was pretty normal, we spend a lot of time together in cars (mostly his) and i was just enjoying our time together, as i have every other time we have driven around together. i was excited about this trip as i was going to be visiting so many places in saskatchewan that i had never been to before! david definitely caught me off-guard by proposing to me outside the hospital he was born in. easily the best day of my life. i can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with him.
i will post the few photos i have of our roadtrip at a later date, stay tuned!

since i moved here in july, i have been on a quest to find the best pad thai in regina. specifically, pad thai that is comparable to the one from my favourite place back in ontario – ‘saigon’s delight’. pictured is david, sitting across from me in ‘little saigon restaurant’ in regina – home of my second-favourite pad thai in this city. while nothing i have found here compares to ‘saigon’s delight’, i do enjoy coming to this particular restaurant with david, as it is always very quiet. my favourite pad thai in regina is from ‘vietnamese garden’ however, i prefer it for delivery and eating it at home. the quest continues!
