Friday Favourites and Circuit Training

A week with David away has resulted in me going to bed before 9pm every night, watching Gilmore Girls on Netflix until I fall asleep and listening to podcasts on my commute to and from work. i’ve also seen (and killed) more spiders in this house than ever before. Funny how that happens… I have also gotten back into my routine of circuit training, which has felt really good. It’s disappointing being able to tell that I am not as strong as I used to be when I was seeing a personal trainer, but I’m confident I can get back to where I was! Below I’ve included a list of my favourite things from the past week:

Favourite nail polish:

St. Lucia Lilac by Essie

Favourite piece of art:

‘The Alchemist’ limited edition print, by Carla Fletcher)

Favourite outfit:

aug 20 2015

Favourite beauty product:

This stuff is awesome. I’ve been using it everyday to remove my make-up – it feels like it melts off when you put it on and has made my skin incredibly soft!

Favourite song:

Have a great weekend!

Monday night was date night for David and I since he would be working late this week. For dinner, we went to Flip – which is a restaurant that I had been wanting to go to for some time, but had never been.  I ordered the special of the day, which was a shrimp spaetzle. Our waitress described spaetzle as the German version of gnocchi. So, in simplest terms, thick pieces of pasta. I am a huge fan of gnocchi, so that sold me. This is the best meal I have had at a restaurant since moving here. I can’t believe it took us this long to go to Flip!

After dinner, we went to see the Amy Winehouse documentary. It was made by the people who made the documentary ‘Senna‘ which is a favourite of mine.
